WHAT’S NEW FOR THE SEASON
Courchevel Le Praz
Courchevel Le Praz has been redesigned – a new gondola, which fits up to 10 people, takes visitors to Courchevel 1850 in less than six minutes. This winter, the village also inaugurates the Alpinium, a two-storey building with a parking garage for 500 cars, a 350m2 multimedia library, children’s area, lockers, toilets and an office for ski class reservations.
Hôtel L’Écrin Blanc
The new four-star hotel called L’Écrin Blanc will open in December 2019 in Courchevel Village. The stone and wooden building will have 127 rooms to accommodate between 2 and 8 people, 3 restaurants, ski room, kids club and a multi-brand store.
Maryse and Michel Rochedy, owners of the legendary Le Chabichou since 1963, passed along the baton to Jean-Claude Lavorel, who promises to maintain the hotel’s authentic and family-friendly vibe, even with the more modern decoration. Stéphane Buron, who earned two Michelin stars, is the new executive chef.
